Lunchtime Supervisor

A warm, community‑focused primary school in Lichfield is looking for a reliable, caring, and proactive Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during the busy midday period. This role suits someone who enjoys working with children, promotes positive play, and helps maintain a safe, calm lunchtime environment. 🧒 Key Responsibilities * Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground, and indoor areas * Encouraging positive play, good manners, and respectful behaviour * Supporting younger pupils with meals and lunchtime routines * Managing minor behaviour issues calmly and consistently * Ensuring pupil safety and wellbeing at all times * Helping set up and clear away dining hall equipment * Working collaboratively as part of a supportive midday team 👩‍💼 What the School Needs * A friendly, patient, and approachable manner * Confidence supervising groups of children * Good communication and behaviour‑management skills * Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility * Willingness to undertake training (safeguarding, first aid, etc.) * Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
