Senior Mechanical Engineer

Hexwired Recruitment are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing consultancy working across consumer products, transport, and safety-critical medical device projects. This is a senior technical role within multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with electronics, software, and design specialists to deliver high-quality, market-ready products. Key Responsibilities * Lead mechanical design work across full product development lifecycle (concept → production) * Deliver innovative solutions to complex engineering problems * Work closely with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, industrial design) * Support and review junior engineers’ work * Manage project delivery including timelines, budgets, and client communication * Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders * Ensure manufacturability and design quality across projects Requirements * Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1st or 2:1) or equivalent technical qualification * Strong experience in product design / mechanical development environment * Skilled in CAE tools and computational engineering methods * Experience with a range of manufacturing processes (including injection moulding and prototyping) * Strong track record of delivering complex engineering projects * Experience working with clients and managing project expectations * Good communication and leadership capability * Eligible to work in the UK and able to work on-site in Warwick Desirable Experience * Low-volume rapid prototyping * High-volume manufacturing processes * Medical, transport, or consumer product sectors * Experience mentoring or leading engineers About the Role You will work on high-impact engineering projects for globally recognised clients, helping take products from early concept through to production.
