Sous Chef – UK Wide Opportunities Available 📍 Location: Various locations across the UK 💷 Salary: Up to £42,000 per year 📄 Contract: Permanent, full-time 🏠 Live-in accommodation available (charges vary by site) We are currently recruiting for multiple Sous Chef positions across the UK, working with a range of quality-led establishments including country house hotels, boutique properties, and high-volume kitchens. These roles are ideal for experienced chefs looking to step into a key leadership position within a well-structured kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef, you will be second in command in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, service delivery, and team leadership. You will play a crucial role in maintaining standards, driving consistency, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities * Support the Head Chef in the overall running of the kitchen. * Lead service and ensure consistency and quality across all dishes. * Supervise, train, and develop junior members of the brigade. * Assist with menu development, costing, and seasonal planning. * Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance. * Manage stock control, ordering, and minimise wastage. * Step in to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. Key Requirements * Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up. * Proven leadership ability within a busy kitchen environment. * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Passion for fresh, high-quality food and attention to detail. * Good understanding of kitchen financials and cost control. * Flexibility to relocate within the UK if required.
