Senior Project Engineer Coventry £45,000 - £60,000 DOE SF Engineering are recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join our established manufacturing client based in Coventry. Senior Project Engineer - OBJECTIVE To provide technical, take off, quotation, project co-ordination and fabrication support to the Engineering Services department and project managers for industrial & utilities projects. Deputise the Engineering Services Manager in his absence, ensuring team-wide timely completion of tasks. Senior Project Engineer - MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the engineering services department with technical advice for building services, utilities and industrial projects - Support the engineering services department to produce pipework take offs for building services, utilities and industrial projects - Creation of accurate and competitive quotations with all supporting technical documentation - Consult with customers, suppliers, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. - Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments - Support the engineering services and fabrication department with fabrication take offs and quotations for all products - Support the management of projects through scheduling, transport, technical and documentation requirements - Communicate effectively with area sales managers to identify customer needs and evaluate alternative business solutions - Liaise with stock control in case of special projects/ assembly/ materials requirements - Support the engineering services manager with delegation & completion of projects - Support the engineering services manager with ensuring completion of tasks and actions across the team - Support the wider team with project planning & project management fundamentals Senior Project Engineer - COMMUNICATION - Internal staff, customers, outside sales staff, departmental managers, functional heads and directors. - Deputise the Engineering Services Manager in meetings when he is unavailable to attend Senior Project Engineer - QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE - Engineering Degree level preferred - Computer literate, knowledge of Excel preferred - Knowledge of AutoCAD systems a benefit - Experience managing large scale projects - Knowledge of piping systems (Extremely Beneficial)
