MOT Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Technician to join our client's busy automotive service centre in Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated MOT Technician looking to advance their career within a reputable, expanding company. Our client, a leading UK tyre retailer and service centre group, is committed to providing high-quality vehicle care and developing their team’s skills. Benefits: Starting salary between £33,000 and £34,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience Monthly performance-related bonuses 42.5-hour working week over five days, Monday to Friday, with an alternating Saturday rota (1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am-4:00pm) Enhanced holiday allowance plus an additional day off for your birthday Optional overtime with pay at standard rates In-house training and professional development opportunities Contributory workplace pension scheme Opportunity to work with the UK's fastest-growing tyre retailer and service centre groupDuties of a MOT Technician: Carrying out MOT tests on customer vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards Diagnosing faults and performing repairs and servicing as required Providing support to the workshop team with various technical and customer-related tasks Occasionally assisting at the front reception with customer enquiries Producing high-quality workmanship within set timeframes of a MOT Technician Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and workshop proceduresRequirements: Valid and active MOT licence Proven experience as an MOT Technician UK driving licence with minimal points Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle makes and models Ability to deliver precise, high-quality work under time constraints Friendly and approachable manner, with good communication skills Team-oriented attitude and commitment to workshop efficiency Reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to customer service excellenceIf you meet the above criteria and are eager to join a dynamic team within a reputable company, we want to hear from you.
