Job Title: Primary Teacher (SEN Specialist – Autism) Location: Barnet, London Salary: £37,870 – £56,154 per annum (M1 – U3) + SEN Allowance (Outer London) Job Type: Full Time, Temporary Start Date: September 2026 (Summer/Autumn start available) Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the Primary National Curriculum • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of communication, sensory and learning needs • Build strong, trusting relationships that support pupils engagement and wellbeing • Promote pupils academic, social and emotional development through personalised approaches • Contribute to a collaborative, reflective and innovative teaching environment • Work closely with support staff, therapists and families to ensure a holistic approach The Ideal Candidate Will Have • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong Primary curriculum knowledge • Experience working with pupils with autism and SEND • A commitment to inclusive, child-centred teaching and high expectations for all learners • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • A reflective, proactive and can-do approach ECTs are welcome to apply; however, candidates must have prior experience in a special school setting, such as working as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEND.
