Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Location: Samlesbury or Prestwick Contract: 12-month Contract (Hybrid - 3 days on site per week) About the Company Our client, BAE Systems, is a global leader in Defence & Security, delivering advanced engineering solutions across air, land and maritime platforms. The Air Business Unit is expanding its design capability to support ongoing work. What You'll Be Doing As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll support key work packages focusing on electrical installation design and 3D harness development. You'll work within a mixed team of permanent and contract engineers and play a vital role in meeting programme deliverables. Key Responsibilities Produce electrical installation designs (non‑circuit work) Develop harness and 3D harness models Use CATIA V5 and Teamcentre to deliver design outputs Support project teams with high workload demands Collaborate with internal engineering teams Contribute to design checking activities when required What You'll Need to Succeed Essential: Electrical Design experience within aerospace or a similar safety‑critical environment Proficiency in CATIA V5 Experience in electrical installations and 3D harness design Recent experience in electrical design, preferably in the aerospace sector.
