Sub Agent Earthworks & Drainage (Highways Project) Location: Yorkshire / Humber Area Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Type: Freelance My client are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join their team on a major Highways project. This is a key role supporting the successful delivery of earthworks and drainage packages, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage and oversee earthworks and drainage operations on site • Support the planning and delivery of works in line with programme requirements • Prepare and review Inspection Test Plans (ITTs) • Ensure quality control through aggregates, stone, and soil testing • Coordinate subcontractors and site teams effectively • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance • Assist with reporting, documentation, and progress tracking • Work closely with the engineering and commercial teams REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer within civil engineering • Strong background in earthworks and drainage packages • Experience preparing and managing ITTs • Knowledge of aggregates, stone, and soil testing procedures • Ability to manage site activities and teams efficiently • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Ideally experienced in using NRG software CSCS / SMSTS / First Aid are required.
