Mobile Plumber Location: Southampton and surrounding areas Salary: £40,000 basic Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑time The Role We are currently looking for an experienced Gas / Plumbing Engineer to join a well‑established business covering Southampton and nearby areas. The position is very much installation‑led, with the bulk of the work centred around boiler replacements and planned installation projects rather than ongoing fault finding or breakdowns. This role would suit an engineer who enjoys organised, pre‑booked work and wants consistency in their day‑to‑day workload, without the pressure of call‑outs or constant reactive jobs. Responsibilities Carrying out domestic boiler installations and full system replacements Completing work on gas systems, with additional exposure to LPG and oil where required Ensuring all installations are completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard Completing certificates, job paperwork and any required documentation accurately Maintaining a professional approach when dealing with customers in their homes Working alongside the wider team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time Candidate Requirements A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Apprentice trained, holding NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification Strong background in installation‑led work, particularly boiler swaps Experience working with gas, LPG and oil systems Full UK driving licence Reliable, well‑organised and comfortable working independently Desirable Experience Experience or exposure to Air Source Heat Pumps Understanding of Vented Water Regulations BPEC qualification, which is considered a strong selling point Salary & Benefits £40,000 basic salary Company van supplied, along with a fuel card Travel time paid to the first job of the day, with travel built into working hours thereafter No call‑out rota, providing a positive work‑life balance Optional overtime available, should you want to increase earnings Long‑term, stable position with a consistent flow of work Working Pattern Monday to Friday working hours Overtime available but entirely optional Area Coverage Primarily covering Southampton and the surrounding local areas, with no expectation of excessive travel Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
