Maintenance Engineer (Ad Hoc)

Maintenance Engineer (Ad Hoc) Location: Grantham Rate: £400 - £420 per day We are currently looking for experienced and reliable engineers to support operations at a highly automated cold storage facility based near Grantham. This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art site featuring high bay systems, automated cranes, conveyors, and monorail systems within a large-scale distribution environment. The Role: You will be part of a small on site team, typically working in pairs, carrying out maintenance and support across: Automated crane systems (up to 40 metres high) Conveyor and monorail systems High and low bay storage areas General PPM and reactive maintenance Working Environment: Cold storage environment operating at approximately -20°C Hypoxic atmosphere with reduced oxygen levels (around 14.4%) to prevent fire risk Full PPE provided including specialist cold gear This role will suit individuals who are physically fit, resilient, and comfortable working in extreme environments. Shift Pattern: Ad hoc shifts available Rotating patterns including days and nights Typical rotations include 5 on 4 off, 4 on 5 off, or 5 on 5 off Two full weekends off per month Breaks: 30-minute break every 2 hours due to environment conditions Requirements: Previous experience in maintenance within automated or industrial environments Comfortable working at height and in cold conditions Good level of fitness and health If you are open to ad hoc work and interested in a high paying role within a cutting-edge automated facility, please get in touch.
