Quality Control Engineer

QC Engineer Location: Kent Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 Shift: Monday to Friday (40 hours, 30-minute unpaid break) My client is looking to strengthen its quality team with the addition of a QC Engineer. This is a hands-on role focused on product validation, inspection, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing. You’ll be expected to take ownership of quality verification, not just tick boxes. The Role As a QC Engineer, you will ensure products, materials, and processes meet the required standards across the business. Key responsibilities include: * Carrying out validation of products, materials and components * Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications * Supporting root cause analysis and problem-solving activities * Analysing quality data to identify trends and issues * Creating and maintaining inspection procedures and SOPs * Supporting and coordinating QC Technicians and Inspectors * Ensuring all inspection and testing data is accurately recorded * Maintaining calibration of measuring equipment * Supporting audits and compliance with quality systems About You * Experience within a manufacturing quality environment * Strong understanding of inspection and testing methodologies * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * High attention to detail and strong communication skills * Data-driven and methodical in approach Desirable * CMM experience * Six Sigma / 5S knowledge * ISO 9001 experience What’s on Offer * Salary £33,000 – £35,000 * Structured, hands-on quality role * Opportunity to develop and progress About 5S Recruitment Limited 5S Recruitment Limited is a specialist engineering and manufacturing recruitment business built on over 16 years of industry experience.
