Mechanical Engineer

Role - Mechanical Engineer Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Type - Permanent Location – North London My client is a specialist engineering company supporting projects across high-integrity and safety-critical sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in North London on a permanent basis. The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: BSc / BEng qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacture or similar 2 – 5 years’ or more of industry experience working in similar Mechanical Design Engineer role working on design for manufacture Knowledge of manufacturing processes and instrumentation Excellent knowledge and proficiency with SolidWorks CAD / Creo Elements / Parametric software ideally Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail Have excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Mechanical Engineer role will involve: Supporting delivery and development of both new and existing products in the R&D team Providing technical support Enhancing and maintaining the mechanical aspects of existing products to meet business requirements Being involved in developing detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks and the associated documentation Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget Carrying out post-production design changes Managing a variety of projects Assisting colleagues with any engineering or manufacturing issues that may arise Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery Occasionally travelling within the UK to support project and business needsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
