Senior PCB Design Engineer

Permanent | £50,000 - £60,000 | Essex / Cambridge Border We're looking for an experienced Senior PCB Design Engineer to take ownership of complex RF, digital and mixed‑signal PCB designs from concept through to release. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in delivering high‑quality boards, on time and with no loose ends. You'll work in a collaborative, fast‑paced engineering environment alongside experts in RF (DC to mmWave), high‑speed digital and FPGA-based systems, playing a key role in shaping PCB design best practice and improving delivery efficiency. What you'll be doing Owning end‑to‑end PCB design, from library creation to final release Translating schematics into robust, manufacturable PCBAs Designing complex multi‑layer, controlled‑impedance and HDI boards Leading and contributing to internal and customer design reviews Ensuring quality, compliance and on‑time delivery across all designs Driving continuous improvement in PCB design processes What we're looking for Proven experience designing RF, digital, analogue and power PCBs Strong expertise in HDI techniques (microvias, via‑in‑pad, back‑drilling) Advanced constraint management and high‑speed design skills Expert user of Altium Designer (PADS experience a bonus) Solid understanding of DFM/DFA, SMT, IPC standards and EMI/EMC Confident, self‑motivated and comfortable working under pressure Background HNC/HND or degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering 5+ years' experience in PCB design and electronics product development What's on offer Competitive salary £50k-£60k (DOE) Hybrid working (three days on site) Supportive, engineering‑led culture with real scope for progression Essex / Cambridge border location with good road and rail access
