Senior Logistics Manager – Major Infrastructure Location: London Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 per annum (DOE) Type: Permanent (but freelance will also be considered) We are recruiting for a Senior Logistics Manager to take strategic ownership of logistics delivery on one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure programmes. This is a high‑profile, senior permanent role, based in London, with responsibility for logistics operations supporting works advancing north toward Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping, leading and controlling logistics strategy across multiple work fronts in a live construction environment. This position is suited to an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in major infrastructure, rail, highways or complex construction programmes, and proven experience operating at a senior, programme‑wide level. Key Responsibilities * Lead and own the logistics strategy across a defined section of a major infrastructure programme * Oversee complex site and corridor logistics between London and Birmingham * Manage logistics planning, sequencing, access, consolidation and materials flow * Lead and mentor logistics managers, coordinators and wider logistics teams * Interface with construction, commercial, planning and delivery teams * Implement systems and controls to manage traffic, storage, lifting and distribution * Ensure compliance with health & safety, security and programme requirements * Drive continuous improvement across logistics efficiency, cost control and risk mitigation * Act as a senior point of contact for logistics matters across multiple stakeholders About You * Proven experience as a Senior Logistics Manager on major infrastructure or large‑scale construction programmes * Strong background in rail, highways, civils or nationally significant projects * Confident operating at a strategic, programme‑wide level, not just single‑site * Experienced leading multi‑disciplinary logistics teams * Strong understanding of construction sequencing, access planning and materials management * Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure, multi‑stakeholder environments * Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills Essential * Significant senior‑level logistics experience on major construction or infrastructure projects * Experience working across multiple sites or corridors * Strong health & safety and compliance mindset * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * £100,000 – £120,000 salary, dependent on experience * Attractive benefits package * Permanent role on a nationally significant infrastructure programme * Long‑term career stability and senior leadership exposure * Opportunity to influence logistics strategy on a flagship UK project Interested?
