Design Engineer role

Role – Design Engineer role Location – Norfolk Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours Capacity of role – Permanent position Salary – Up to £36,000 per annum Our client is an established and reputable company who is looking to add to their team by recruiting for a Design Engineer to join their drawing office. Main duties will include –  Develop and design innovative products, components, or systems using CAD & Solid Works software and engineering principles.  Create detailed technical/manufacturing drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly.  Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to validate design concepts.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards  Evaluate materials, processes, and manufacturing methods to optimize cost, efficiency, and sustainability.  Troubleshoot design and production issues, providing timely solutions.  Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in design engineering. Candidate attributes -  Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.  Proven experience in product or mechanical design engineering.  Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).  Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.  Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.  Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.  Experience with simulation tools and prototyping is a plus.
