Year 6 1:1 Teaching Assistant (ADHD Support) Location: Birkenhead, Wirral (CH41) Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Job Type: Full Time - Temporary / Ongoing Pay Rate: Competitive, depending on experience Job Description People Dynamix Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Year 6 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ADHD in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Birkenhead area of Wirral. The Role The successful candidate will work closely with a Year 6 pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored academic and emotional support to help them access the curriculum, remain engaged in learning, and prepare for the transition to secondary education. This is a full-time role, working 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD Support learning across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly core subjects Implement strategies to support focus, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment What You Will Need Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly ADHD A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils A calm, patient, and proactive approach A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development Why Work with People Dynamix Education?
