HGV1 Weekend Driver

M4 Recruitment are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for PM shifts for our client in Colnbrook. This role is essential to ensuring efficient logistics and the timely transport of goods between depots and distribution centres. Shift & Start Times * PM Shift #1: Between 14:00 – 16:00 start * PM Shift #2: Between 19:00 – 22:00 start Working Pattern * Core working days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday * Additional shifts: May be offered during the week, depending on availability Weekly Hours & Pay * 29 hours per week * £687.97 per week (based on 29 hours worked) Competitive Pay Rates * Weekdays (08:00 – 19:00): £19.00 * Weeknights (19:00 – 08:00): £21.71 * Overtime: £28.74 after 40 hours worked * Bank Holidays: £35.78 Key Responsibilities * Trunking Operations: Safely complete assigned trunking routes, ensuring timely deliveries * Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-trip checks, reporting any defects * Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies * Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks * Communication: Keep the logistics team updated on delivery progress and any issues * Professionalism: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively Requirements * Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence * Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience * No more than 6 points on licence * Clean DBS check * Level D / Cargo Operative training (can be completed online) * 5-year employment history for background verification M4 Recruitment is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
