Transport Manager

Job description: Transport Manager Location: Coventry Salary: £40,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm A well-established and growing food production business based in Coventry is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee and optimise its daily logistics operations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transport activities, supporting the smooth delivery of goods to customers. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate the day-to-day transport operations Oversee driver schedules, routes, and vehicle utilisation Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and food safety standards Monitor fleet performance, maintenance, and legal requirements Lead, support, and develop a team of drivers and transport staff Work closely with warehouse and production teams to align logistics with business needs Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs Requirements: Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance Excellent organisational and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment CPC qualification (preferred or required depending on business needs) What’s on Offer: Competitive salary of £40,000 per annum Stable Monday to Friday working hours Opportunity to join a growing and reputable business If you are a proactive and experienced transport professional looking for your next challenge, we would like to hear from you
