Conveyancer Cardiff, South Wales Permanent £45k Our client, a well-established and growing legal practice based in South Wales, is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join their team. The Ideal Candidate Our client is looking for a proactive and commercially aware Conveyancer to take ownership of a varied caseload of residential or commercial property matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth transactions, maintaining compliance, and building strong relationships with clients and third parties. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Manage a full caseload of residential or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion Handle freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers, and refinancing matters Legal & Technical Delivery: Conduct title checks, searches, and enquiries, raising requisitions where necessary Draft, review, and prepare contracts, transfers, leases, and associated legal documentation Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors, and other solicitors Provide clear, timely updates and maintain excellent client care throughout the transaction lifecycle Compliance & Process Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML checks and internal policies Manage exchange of contracts, completions, and post-completion processes, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations Organisation & Administration: Maintain accurate file records and case management systems Proactively manage deadlines and progress transactions efficiently Ideal Background & Experience Essential: Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing Experience managing a full caseload independently Strong understanding of property transactions, land law, and conveyancing processes Excellent communication and organisational skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Desirable: Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or Solicitor Knowledge of AML regulations, SDLT requirements, and Land Registry procedures Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office Personality & Working Style Client-focused with a professional and approachable manner Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proactive and able to take ownership of workload Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Benefits Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunities for professional development and progression Standard working hours: Monday to Friday Bonus schemes to recognise and reward performance Pension scheme Annual Leave & Recognition: 20 days’ annual leave Length of service rewards including additional holiday and pay increases Employee of the Month and regular recognition initiatives Ongoing training and development opportunities Six-monthly appraisals to support career progression Access to Welsh Government apprenticeships Opportunities for conveyancing training contracts Workplace Culture: Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive working environment Regular staff engagement and feedback initiatives Social events including summer and Christmas parties A fun and engaging office culture with regular team activities Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person
