Job Title: Employment Advisor Location: Carlisle Office-based) Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week Reporting to: Project Manager About the Role We are currently recruiting for an Employment Advisor to join a busy and supportive employment services team. In this role, you will work directly with programme participants on a one-to-one basis, helping them overcome barriers and progress into sustainable employment. This is a target-driven, office-based role with limited opportunity for remote working. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality support while achieving programme performance outcomes. Key Responsibilities Participant Engagement & Caseload Management * Manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored one-to-one support * Build strong relationships to understand individual needs and employment goals * Engage with local communities, employers, Job Centres, and external stakeholders * Conduct eligibility assessments and initial participant interviews Assessment & Action Planning * Deliver inductions and initial assessments * Identify barriers to employment and refer to appropriate support services * Develop and review personalised action plans Employability Support * Deliver employability workshops (e.g. CV writing, job search, interview skills) * Source training, wellbeing, and digital inclusion opportunities * Support participants into volunteering, training, or employment opportunities Employer Engagement & Recruitment * Build relationships with employers to source vacancies and opportunities * Match participants to suitable roles and carry out pre-screening * Support participants with applications and interview preparation * Provide in-work support and aftercare to help sustain employment What We’re Looking For * Experience working in employability, recruitment, or a customer-focused environment * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet performance targets * Good organisational and administrative skills Additional Information * This role requires flexibility, including occasional work outside standard office hours * You will be expected to follow all safeguarding, compliance, and organisational policies
