EHS Lead Data Centre - Belgium

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Lead for a major hyperscale data centre project in Belgium on behalf of a leading international main contractor. This is a key site-based leadership role during an exciting phase of construction and fit-out. You will be the senior H&S authority on site, responsible for driving a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance across the project. Key Responsibilities: * Lead all health and safety operations on a large, live data centre construction site. * Own and continuously improve the project H&S management system in line with Belgian legislation, EU standards, and client requirements. * Provide strong visible leadership and coaching to the project team and all subcontractors. * Oversee risk assessments, method statement reviews, permit-to-work systems, and high-risk activity controls. * Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and incident investigations with a focus on prevention and lessons learned. * Liaise with Belgian regulatory authorities and maintain all required documentation and reporting. * Deliver targeted H&S training, inductions, and toolbox talks. * Support the achievement of excellent safety performance and contribute to client reporting. Candidate Requirements: * Proven experience as a Health & Safety Lead or Senior H&S Manager on large-scale construction projects (data centre, industrial or critical infrastructure experience preferred). * NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent international qualification) is essential. * Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. * Happy to be based full time in Belgium What’s on Offer: * €95,000 - €115,000 * Accommodation provided * Car Allowance – 10% of base salary * Pension & Healthcare * 1 Return flight within Europe / UK per month
