The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Key Responsibilities * Prepare ingredients such as washing, chopping, measuring, and portioning food. * Cook and present meals according to recipes, menus, and quality standards. * Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly. * Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen areas, and utensils. * Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times. * Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage. * Store food correctly and check freshness, dates, and quality. * Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams. * Assist with menu preparation and daily specials when required. * Manage time effectively during busy service periods. Skills and Qualities * Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong teamwork and communication skills. * Good attention to detail. * Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately. * Basic understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness. * Reliable, punctual, and hardworking. * Ability to stay calm under pressure.
