Nursery Teacher

Smile Education are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and vibrant mainstream primary school in the Burton upon Trent area for a part-time Nursery Teacher. This well-established school is home to approximately 380 pupils across 14 classes and is supported by a team of dedicated, hardworking staff. Set within extensive grounds featuring over 1,000 trees and beautiful green spaces, the school places a strong emphasis on nurturing both a love for learning and a meaningful connection to nature. The curriculum is designed to inspire and support every child’s development in a rich, engaging environment. The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Teacher who can contribute positively to school life and deliver a high standard of education within the Early Years setting. This role will involve full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and effective behaviour management. Key Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential Recent experience teaching within EYFS Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment A proactive, “can-do” attitude and a willingness to become part of a collaborative team Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning Willingness to attend training and professional development as requiredCompliance & Safeguarding Ability to attend an interview with Smile Education Willingness to complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks Provide a minimum of two professional references Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Smile EducationWhy Apply?
