We are proud to be partnering with a leading contractor in the construction industry, renowned for delivering high-profile infrastructure projects, including major Highways works. This contractor has a strong reputation for quality and efficiency, and they are currently delivering an exciting, large-scale highways scheme. Due to the high turnover of changes and the sheer volume of work, they are looking to expand their team by hiring a dedicated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on one of the contractor's most significant and high-profile projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work and change. You will be expected to manage the financial aspects of the project, oversee cost control, and ensure the project is delivered within budget. You will be joining a dynamic team, where your contribution will play a key role in the success of the scheme. Key Responsibilities: ·Take full responsibility for the quantity surveying aspects of the highways project, including cost planning, monitoring, and reporting. ·Manage and track financial performance, ensuring cost forecasts are accurate, and changes are well-documented and accounted for. ·Prepare and issue monthly valuations, cost reports, and other financial documentation in line with project requirements. ·Navigate a high turnover of changes with a focus on ensuring smooth contract administration and commercial control. ·Collaborate with the project management team, subcontractors, and clients to resolve any issues or disputes efficiently. ·Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of work. ·Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective communication and project success. The Candidate Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in highways or infrastructure projects, who has experience managing a high volume of work and a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You'll be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines, all while maintaining exceptional standards of work and communication.
