Hydraulics Design Engineer

As the Hydraulic design engineer within a supportive, forward thinking engineering team you will be responsible for the design, development, test and integration of machine based hydraulic systems for world class material handling and off-highway construction machinery. Your Role: Hydraulic Design Engineer * Full lifecycle hydraulic systems design from initial concept design to prototype * 1D simulation & 3D design/analysis of hydraulic and powertrain systems within the machine * Test, fault find and integration of hydraulics into machine to support prototype creation * Support all hydraulic design and development activities within the team to create a fully working systems * Choose, specify and size up off the shelf components to be integrated into the system The company: Hydraulic Design Engineer This position sits in an established and supportive team that works on the design and development of hydraulic lifting machines (excavators, wheel loaders, BEV machines, construction equipment). Your background: Hydraulic Design Engineer * You will need very strong industry knowledge in mobile or industrial machinery hydraulic systems * You will have worked on hydraulic design for construction, off-highway or agricultural machines or lifting platforms, material handling or static machinery-based hydraulics * Good understanding of hydrostatic drives, pumps, pressure valves, fluid flow control systems and circuit optimisation * Good hands on test & development skills; willing to get hands dirty across all aspects of machine design and build * Knowledge of 1D simulation tools would be beneficial – Catia, HyperWorks, AMESim, Powersim etc * Degree qualified or equivalent in mechanical, mechatronics engineering or similar The company is conveniently located close to Bologna, Italy, locations could include Imola, Faenza, Ravenna, Forli, Cesena etc but the company welcomes applications from within the EU.
