Ocean Import Coordinator Location: Essex | Office-Based (Mon-Fri, 9:00-17:00) Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 + Benefits We're partnering with a well-established, growing freight forwarding business that is looking to strengthen its import operations team with an experienced Import Coordinator This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive team within a company that has built a strong reputation in international logistics, particularly across Asia trade lanes. What's On Offer Salary of £30,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience) 20 days holiday + bank holidays Company Pension Free Parking Stable, growing business with a strong industry presence Exposure to global freight operations across multiple modes Supportive culture with opportunity to develop your skillset The Role This position will focus primarily on sea freight imports (approx. 95%), managing shipments from start to finish across key routes including China, India, and Southeast Asia. You'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth, efficient movement of goods while delivering a high level of service to clients. Key Responsibilities Managing end-to-end import shipments (sea freight bias) Handling and processing pre-alerts from overseas agents Coordinating with shipping lines, hauliers, and internal teams Overseeing documentation and shipment progress Supporting customs processes (in-house customs team in place; knowledge beneficial but not essential) Completing invoicing and file closure accurately Ensuring excellent communication with customers and partnersNote: This role is operationally focused-no quoting or sales responsibilities.
