Forklift Driver

New Resource Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company for a Despatch Operative to join their busy logistics team at their Melksham facility. About the Role As a Despatch Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring finished goods are safely and accurately prepared for distribution. You will work as part of a fast-paced team, ensuring all despatch activities are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Carry out all despatch duties in a safe, consistent and reliable manner * Ensure finished goods are correctly packed, labelled, and prepared for dispatch * Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner * Load vehicles safely in line with company procedures and instructions * Operate pallet wrapping equipment * Carry out daily checks on equipment, including forklift trucks where applicable * Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times * Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute ideas to enhance processes * Comply fully with all health & safety regulations and site procedures Key Skills & Experience * Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance and/or Flexi desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided) * Previous experience in a warehouse or dispatch environment is advantageous * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication skills * Good attention to detail and accuracy * Basic numeracy and literacy skills * Ability to follow instructions and procedures Benefits * Overtime paid at 1.33x after 40 hours per week * 34 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) * Pension scheme (employee 5% / employer 3%) * Generous company sick pay scheme (after qualifying period) * Career progression opportunities * Cycle to Work scheme (subject to eligibility) * Death in service benefit (after qualifying period) * Birthday benefit (after qualifying period) * Employee discount platform offering savings on thousands of retailers, cinema tickets and more About New Resource Recruitment New Resource Recruitment are specialists in supplying high-quality candidates to manufacturing, logistics, and industrial sectors across the UK.
