As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by producing and maintaining accurate, high-quality CAD drawings. Working as part of a collaborative and fast paced team, you will translate site and technical information into ‘as-laid’ drawings that support project completion, asset value claims, and contractual signoff requirements. You will build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure information is accurate, timely, and compliant with company standards. Responsibilities Drawing Control & Management * Produce, update, and maintain accurate ‘as‑laid’ drawings using agreed standards, methods, and procedures. * Control drawing library and plan registers to ensure the latest versions are available for review by project teams. * Mark up and record installation progress on digital systems. * Issue completed and approved drawings to relevant stakeholders, including asset and project coordination teams. Technical Documentation & Interpretation * Interpret technical information, site records, and mark-ups provided by design and delivery teams. * Translate site data into clear, precise drawings that accurately reflect installed works. * Ensure all drawings meet internal quality standards and contractual requirements. Coordination & Process Support * Liaise with technical and project teams to verify records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure sufficient information is available for drawing production. * Collaborate with project delivery teams to support drafting requirements, including installation layouts. * Support programme delivery by working to agreed schedules set by your line manager. * Assist with reporting and use of digital systems (e.g. CRM tools) to track project progress. Skills Required * Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site information. * Experience using AutoCAD (or equivalent software), training can be provided. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. * Excellent time management and organisational skills. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging at all levels. * Proactive, results-driven approach with a positive, “can-do” attitude. * Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands while following procedures and standards. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. Educational Requirements * Relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience (desirable). * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
