We’re hiring for a Trainee Service & Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist engineering business, offering full training, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a highly specialised field. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on-site, learning how to service, test, and commission critical air systems used in a range of environments. What’s on offer? * £28,000 - £32,000 p/a (depending on experience) * Company van (personal use available) + fuel covered * Overtime available (1.5x Saturdays, 2x Sundays) * 22 days holiday (+ bank holidays) * Company pension scheme * All tools, equipment, and training provided * Clear progression into a fully qualified Service Engineer What will you be doing as a Trainee Service & Commissioning Engineer? * Working alongside engineers to carry out service and commissioning tasks * Assisting with testing and validation of specialist air systems * Learning to use equipment to measure airflow, pressure, and system performance * Supporting maintenance and fault-finding on mechanical systems * Completing job reports and documentation * Travelling to sites across the UK (with occasional overnight stays) * Following health & safety procedures on-site What will you need? * A background in mechanical, electrical, or hands-on engineering work * OR experience in a trade, construction, or technical role * Full UK driving licence * Willingness to travel and stay away (1–2 nights per week) * A practical, hands-on mindset and willingness to learn Interested?
