Transport Planner

Transport Planner Location: Grimsby Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 depending on experience We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation based in Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in transport planning, logistics operations, and import/export coordination who is looking to join a growing business with long-term opportunities. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and confident managing the day-to-day movement of goods while ensuring excellent service levels and operational efficiency across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Planning and coordinating daily transport activities efficiently and cost-effectively Managing deliveries, collections, and route planning Liaising with drivers, customers, warehouses, and internal teams Supporting import and export operations to ensure shipments move smoothly Handling customs processes for both import and export movements Monitoring schedules and reacting quickly to operational changes Ensuring all planning activity is compliant with company procedures Building strong working relationships across the operation The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience in transport planning and/or import/export operations Experience with customs clearance for both import and export shipments A background within the logistics, transport, or supply chain sector Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving Confidence managing multiple priorities and working under pressure Good systems knowledge and strong administrative accuracy What's on Offer: Salary of £28,000 to £38,000 depending on experience Opportunity to join a well-established and growing logistics operation Varied and fast-moving role with real responsibility Supportive team environment Long-term career development opportunities To apply, please send your CV to (url removed) Our clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
