Candidate required: Site Manager Job Type: Freelance / Temporary (3–4 weeks) Start date: Immediate Industry: Construction Professionals Location: Southampton Rate: Competitive day rate dependant on experience The role & about the client: Our client is a well-established main contractor who requires an experienced Site Manager for a short-term 3–4 week assignment. The role will involve taking responsibility for day-to-day site operations during a key phase of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the expected quality standards. This position would suit a hands-on Site Manager who is confident managing subcontractors, maintaining programme momentum and ensuring high standards of health & safety on site. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Managing daily site operations and coordinating subcontractors * Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements * Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site * Monitoring quality of works and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications * Liaising with the Project Manager and wider delivery team * Managing site logistics and ensuring efficient workflow * Overseeing site documentation and reporting progress * Ensuring site activities are delivered to company and client expectations The ideal candidate will have: * Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor * Strong all-round construction knowledge across build projects * SMSTS * CSCS Card - Black or Gold * First Aid qualification preferred * Ability to manage short-term programmes effectively * Strong organisational and communication skills * Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision How to apply: If you are an experienced Site Manager available for a 3–4 week freelance assignment, please apply with your CV or contact our team for further details.
