Head of Recoveries

My client is a fast-growing international SME lender operating across the UK, Australia, and the Middle East. The business is scaling quickly with a hands-on, low-bureaucracy culture where people take ownership and move fast. The Role * Own the end-to-end recoveries function, from early arrears through to legal enforcement and bad debt. * You’ll lead offshore collections and legal support teams, manage performance, and drive strategies to maximise recoveries while making commercially sound decisions. Key Responsibilities * Own recoveries performance and bad debt outcomes * Set and manage KPIs across collections and legal * Lead offshore collections agents and paralegals * Oversee legal recovery (CCJs, statutory demands, insolvency) * Decide on legal action vs commercial settlements * Handle complex cases and improve processes * Feed back risks and trends to the credit team Candidate Profile * Background in collections, debt recovery, litigation, or insolvency * Experience managing teams and driving results * Strong commercial judgement and decision-making * Comfortable with ownership and autonomy Why Join * High-growth international business * Real ownership and impact * Remote working with global exposure * Company events and international meetups Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear IT Recruitment Limited.
