Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer (Building Services) Location: Knightsbridge (short walk from the station) Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (must be flexible to cover night shift when required) – 7:00am to 7:00pm Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum + annual bonuses Additional Benefits: * 20 days holiday + bank holidays * Double pay on bank holidays * Benefits applicable after successful completion of 6-month probation Role Overview We are seeking a professional and reliable Shift Engineer to join our in-house engineering team within a high-end residential environment. This role involves maintaining building services systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering excellent service to residents through strong communication and a customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across building services systems * Operate and maintain systems including: * Air Handling Units (AHU) * Fan Coil Units (FCU) * Water systems (including water flushing) * Fire alarm systems * Fire extinguishing equipment * Ensure compliance with all health & safety and statutory regulations * Respond promptly to engineering faults and breakdowns * Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports * Liaise with residents and stakeholders, providing clear communication and high levels of customer service * Support general building operations as required Candidate Requirements * Minimum NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing discipline * Previous experience in high-end residential or hospitality environments * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively within a shift rotation (days and nights) * Well-presented and professional at all times * Flexible to provide night cover when required * No specific trade bias required – multi-skilled engineers encouraged
