Power Electronics Engineer Milton Keynes Competitive Salary + Benefits Overview We are recruiting a Power Electronics Engineer to support the design and development of advanced power electronic systems for automotive and motorsport applications. This is an opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, contributing to high-performance, high-voltage systems in a technically demanding environment. The Role You will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of power electronic circuits and sub-systems, supporting both prototype and series production programmes. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering robust, high-efficiency solutions. Key Responsibilities * Design low and high voltage power electronic circuits and assemblies * Capture requirements and develop specifications in line with industry standards * Produce schematic designs and PCB layouts * Perform circuit simulation and analysis * Support component selection (IGBTs, MOSFETs, gate drivers, DC link capacitors) * Develop and execute test and validation plans * Conduct verification, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis * Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities * Maintain detailed engineering documentation and BOMs About You * Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) * Strong background in power electronics design * Experience with high voltage systems (up to 1000V) and high-power applications * Knowledge of IGBTs, MOSFETs, and associated drive circuitry * Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, and simulation tools * Familiarity with automotive standards, EMC, and functional safety (ISO26262) * Experience with tools such as Altium Designer, LTSpice, or PSIM is advantageous Why Apply? * Work on cutting-edge electrification and motorsport technology * Exposure to high-performance, high-voltage systems * Collaborative and technically challenging environment * Opportunity to contribute across the full product lifecycle TXM Recruit is an equal opportunities employer.
