Job Title: School Administrator (Maternity Cover – 1 Year Fixed Term) Location: Hackney Contract Type: Fixed-term (1 year – maternity cover) Hours: 8am – 4pm – Monday to Friday Role Overview We are seeking a highly organised and proactive School Administrator to join our team on a one-year maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, providing administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents while maintaining efficient systems and processes. About you: You will have experience using Arbor MIS systems You will have worked within a school admin position previously You will hold and Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one Key Responsibilities General Administration Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school office. Act as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies. Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner. Maintain accurate pupil records and school databases.Financial Administration Monitor and chase outstanding payments from parents for school clubs, lunches, and trips in a timely and professional manner. Record and reconcile payments, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Support financial processes in line with school procedures.Systems Management (Arbor) Input and maintain data on Arbor, including clubs, trips, and meal arrangements. Ensure all relevant information is up to date and accurate. Support staff and parents with Arbor-related queries where required.Clubs, Trips, and Meals Administration Set up and manage school clubs, trips, and lunch bookings. Communicate relevant information to parents and staff. Track attendance and payments linked to these activities.Ordering and Stock Control Manage ordering of school supplies and resources. Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supplies are maintained. Liaise with suppliers and process orders efficiently.Compliance and Record Keeping Ensure records are maintained in line with school policies and data protection regulations. Assist with administrative aspects of safeguarding and compliance where required
