Our client is a storage solution company experiencing continued growth and is now looking to recruit a proactive, detail‑driven Assistant Buyer / Merchandiser to join their friendly and collaborative team based near Chelmsford. ✨ Why this role? Permanent position with long‑term stability Opportunity to manage and develop categories alongside the Buyer Varied, hands‑on role across buying, merchandising, and promotions Supportive, close‑knit working environment 🛒 The Role: Working closely with the Buyer and Merchandiser, you’ll support the end‑to‑end buying process, ensuring the right products are sourced, stocked, and promoted effectively. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Buyer with day‑to‑day buying activity Managing new and repeat orders using stock forecasts Preparing weekly management reports Scheduling and managing supplier deliveries Assisting with promotional planning and proposals Monitoring competitor activity and identifying opportunities Product setup on Shopify and CRM systems General administrative support to the Buying department ✅ About You: Previous experience in a buying or merchandising role (essential) Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills Strong attention to detail Positive, proactive, and hands‑on attitude Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Must be a driver due to office location ⏰ Working Hours: Monday: 8:00am – 5:30pm Tuesday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
