Electrical Design Engineer Permanent £45,000 - £55,000 Portsmouth We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of new electrical systems from concept through to production. This role offers a blend of design, validation, and hands-on testing within a collaborative engineering environment. Responsibilities Support the design and development of electrical systems from concept through to final manufacture Undertake design validation through calculations and analysis to demonstrate compliance with requirements Liaise with test facilities, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to support project delivery Carry out hands-on testing, prototyping, and verification within an on-site test facility Produce and control engineering documentation including drawings, test documents, and bills of materialsEssential Skills and Experience Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience Strong understanding of electrical systems design, build, test, and commissioning Experience producing design and technical specifications Maritime or related industry experience (advantageous – not essential)Benefits Private healthcare Life assurance Professional development Pension contribution
