Civil Engineer Bridgend/Cardiff £35,000 – £45,000 + Benefits An established Chartered Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected consultancy delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions across a wide range of UK projects. The business supports developments from early-stage feasibility through to construction, working closely with clients to ensure high-quality outcomes. The Role The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of infrastructure and development projects, contributing to technically sound and cost-effective solutions. You will gain exposure across the full project lifecycle, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders on a variety of schemes. This position offers hybrid working and is suited to candidates based in or around the Bridgend area. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects Prepare technical drawings, reports, and engineering calculations Support projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction Collaborate with architects, developers, contractors, and project teams Liaise with clients and stakeholders where required Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulationsWhat We’re Looking For Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Experience in infrastructure design and development projects Knowledge of SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and/or SAB (Sustainable Drainage Approval Body) processes Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or similar software) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environmentWhat’s on Offer £35,000 – £45,000 salary (depending on experience) Hybrid working Opportunity to join a well-established Chartered consultancy Exposure to a diverse range of projects Clear career development and progression opportunitiesIf you’re a Civil Engineer looking for your next move in the Bridgend or Cardiff area, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team.
