Senior Site Supervisor – Highways / Infrastructure Location: Newcastle Salary: Competitive + Company Vehicle + Benefits Hours: 45 hours per week The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to join a well-established contractor delivering major highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to an internal departure, the business is looking to secure a replacement at the earliest opportunity, with flexibility to engage on a short-term agency basis initially before transitioning into a permanent position. The Role You will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of works on large-scale highways projects, ensuring delivery is safe, efficient, and in line with programme and quality expectations. Key responsibilities will include: * Supervising site teams and subcontractors on major highways schemes * Coordinating daily site activities and short-term planning * Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards * Monitoring progress, quality, and productivity on site * Maintaining accurate records and site documentation * Supporting site management and liaising with key stakeholders Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: * Proven experience working on large highways / infrastructure projects * SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) * Valid CSCS Card * First Aid Qualification * Strong IT skills and ability to manage site documentation * Full UK Driving Licence What’s on Offer * Competitive salary package * Company commercial vehicle * 45-hour working week * Paid annual leave and benefits * Opportunity to move from agency to permanent employment * Long-term pipeline of major highways works
