With a strong reputation for excellence and innovation, we are continuing to grow and are looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the financial operations of our group. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple entities, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Cashflow * Assist with preparation and management of group and entity-level cashflows * Support weekly and month-end reporting processes * Analyse financial data to support business decisions Reconciliations & Controls * Perform balance sheet reconciliations across group companies * Complete bank and credit card reconciliations * Process employee expenses * Support payroll-related accounting, including PAYE journals Invoicing & Intercompany * Prepare and reconcile intercompany invoices * Maintain intercompany accounting records and matrices * Manage subcontractor and specialist invoicing Month-End & General Support * Assist with month-end reporting and documentation * Provide support on ad-hoc finance tasks and projects About You Essential Skills & Experience * Previous experience in a finance or accounts role * Strong understanding of reconciliations and accounting processes * Good Excel skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Full right to work in the UK Desirable * Experience working in a multi-entity or group structure * Exposure to intercompany accounting Personal Attributes * Highly organised with the ability to meet multiple deadlines * Proactive and able to work independently * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Reliable, professional, and takes ownership of tasks What We Offer * Competitive salary * Opportunities for professional development * Supportive and collaborative team environment * Exposure to a growing and dynamic business How to Apply If you’re looking to develop your career in finance within a growing engineering business, we’d love to hear from you.
