Repair & Maintenance Lift Engineer 📍 London (Field-Based / Remote) — South & Midlands also considered | 💰 Competitive + Package | Permanent | Full-Time Job Type Permanent, Full-Time Location London preferred — South & Midlands also considered Salary Competitive DOE + company vehicle + benefits Industry Lift & Escalator — Platform Lifts Qualifications NVQ Level 2 Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent) THE ROLE We're working with a well-established specialist lift company to recruit an experienced Repair & Maintenance Lift Engineer. This is a field-based, autonomous role covering routine servicing, fault diagnosis, emergency call-outs and commissioning of platform lifts across a portfolio of customer sites. You'll be the face of the business on-site — a technically capable engineer who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly with clients, and keeps equipment running safely and compliantly. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Carrying out scheduled maintenance, inspections and routine checks on platform lifts * Diagnosing and repairing faults — mechanical, electrical and control systems * Responding to emergency breakdown call-outs * Commissioning new equipment and demonstrating it to clients * Refurbishing lift interiors — flooring, panel displays, lighting, buttons, communication systems * Producing risk assessments, LOLER reports and legal/insurance documentation * Keeping accurate written and digital work records * Managing your allocated company vehicle responsibly WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Maintenance (lift servicing) or equivalent * Solid hands-on experience in the platform lift industry * Strong fault-finding and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems * Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation — LOLER, PUWER etc. * CSCS card and full UK driving licence — both essential * Customer-facing confidence — you'll deal directly with clients on-site * Comfortable working independently and managing your own diary WHAT'S ON OFFER * Competitive salary negotiable on experience * Company vehicle * Overtime available * Varied, autonomous field role — no two days the same * Supportive team with clear processes and strong leadership LOCATION London is the first preference for this role.
