KS1 Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term Position Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire Start Date: September 2026 Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (depending on experience) The Opportunity A friendly, community-focused primary school in St Albans is seeking to appoint a motivated KS1 Teacher from September 2026. With a strong emphasis on inclusion and supportive leadership, the school offers an environment where both staff and pupils are encouraged to succeed. This role is suitable for experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to establish themselves within Key Stage 1 in a supportive and well-equipped setting. Your Role You will be responsible for a vibrant and enthusiastic Year 1 class, supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 1. The role provides the opportunity to deliver an engaging curriculum while fostering independence, confidence, and a passion for learning. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum Teach core subjects such as phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics to a high standard Support early literacy and numeracy through creative and targeted teaching strategies Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment Assess pupil progress effectively and use data to inform teaching and interventions Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues Contribute to the wider school community and collaborative culture About You The school is looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about early education.
