Senior Horticultural Technician - Interior Soft Landscaping £35,000-£36,000 DOE | Full‑Time | Permanent Central Scotland & Northern Ireland (Field‑Based) An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Horticultural Technician to join a well‑established, fast‑growing interior landscaping business delivering high‑quality plant maintenance services across Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Belfast. This is a senior, client‑facing maintenance role for a knowledgeable and professional horticulturist who takes pride in exceptional plant care and customer service. Alongside maintaining a portfolio of key client sites, you'll support and mentor a small group of local Technicians, acting as a technical point of reference and helping to drive consistently high service standards. You'll work independently across multiple locations, building long‑term client relationships while playing an important role within the wider regional team. Key Responsibilities Maintain high‑quality interior and exterior planting displays across multiple client sites Ensure all displays meet agreed technical and presentation standards Diagnose plant health issues and implement appropriate treatments and solutions Deliver excellent customer service, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients Complete site reports and maintain accurate records using company systems Support and guide a small group of local Technicians, sharing knowledge and best practice Work closely with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure efficient route planning and service delivery Champion health & safety, following all risk assessments and method statements Travel regularly between Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Belfast, including occasional flights What We're Looking For A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a field‑based horticultural maintenance or technician role Strong horticultural knowledge with a focus on plant health, presentation, and long‑term care Proven experience delivering high‑quality customer service in a client‑facing environment Confident communication skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and strong attention to detail Comfortable working independently across multiple sites and cities Willingness to travel and manage a varied, mobile workload Physically capable of carrying out maintenance tasks, including the use of watering cans, stepladders, and stools Professional, reliable, and well‑organised What's on Offer £35,000-£36,000 DOE Permanent, full‑time position Quarterly company bonus and annual performance‑related bonus (post‑probation) 25 days holiday plus UK bank holidays BUPA Cash Plan Lunch allowance Ongoing Learning & Development Opportunity to take on a senior, influential role within a growing interior landscaping businessThis is a field‑based role covering major UK cities and requires flexibility with travel and working hours.
