Job Title: Civils Supervisor (Freelance) Location: Inverness Start Date: May 2026 Duration: Ongoing Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor for a freelance, ongoing role based in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic project team, overseeing civil engineering works with a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day site operations across civil works Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification Manage site teams, subcontractors, and coordinate activities effectively Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance Oversee and support peat handling operations in line with best practice Conduct site inspections, reporting, and documentation as required Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders Requirements: Proven experience working as a Civils Supervisor Demonstrable experience in peat handling and environmental management Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and site supervision Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently and manage site operations effectively What’s on Offer: Competitive day rate (DOE) Long-term freelance opportunity Start from May with ongoing work Accommodation and food provided for candidates travelling over 2 hours Opportunity to work on a high-profile project in the Highlands How to Apply: If you have the required experience and are available for an ongoing freelance role, please submit your CV to get more information
