Early Years Practitioner / Room Leader Location: E11 Salary: from £13.56 per hour (£28,197 per annum) Hours: 40 hours per week (rota between 8:00–18:00) About the Role Revive Education are recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery setting looking for a confident Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or aspiring Room Leader to join their baby room team. The setting has two baby rooms, each with a maximum of 9 babies and supported by 3 staff members, creating a well-staffed and structured environment. This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of baby development who is ready to take on more responsibility or already has experience leading within a room. About the Setting The nursery has 58 children on roll and offers a welcoming, well-resourced environment, including a spacious outdoor garden. Parts of the nursery are currently being refurbished, with further improvements planned through to December 2026. You’ll be joining a stable team led by a supportive Nursery Manager who has been with the setting for over 5 years, alongside access to additional bank staff support. Key Responsibilities * Support or lead practice within the baby room, ensuring high-quality care and education * Plan and implement the EYFS curriculum in line with children’s developmental needs * Monitor and track children’s progress, identifying and addressing any concerns * Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe environment at all times * Build strong relationships with parents and confidently manage day-to-day communication * Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment Requirements * Level 3 qualification in Early Years (minimum) * Good understanding of baby development and the EYFS * Experience working within a nursery setting (leadership experience beneficial) * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Confident using IT systems such as Teams and SharePoint * Able to manage parent queries and handle conflict professionally Working Pattern * 40 hours per week on a rota basis * Shifts include: 8:00–17:00, 8:30–17:30, 9:00–18:00 * Occasional early shift: 7:30–16:30 Benefits * 28 days annual leave (increasing by 1 day per year after 2 years) * Private healthcare (including dental, optical and mental health support) * On-site parking * Supportive and long-standing management team
