Planning Administrator


Overview We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planning Administrator to support planning and logistics operations within a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate planning, stock control, and order fulfilment to meet customer demand. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and update short- and medium-term planning schedules using forecast data and inbound delivery information * Create and manage transfer orders within internal systems to support a rolling operational plan * Coordinate inbound and outbound activity to maximise efficiency in line with operational requirements * Prepare and release orders for warehouse processing, ensuring accurate picking and dispatch * Monitor and validate order completion, resolving any discrepancies where required * Process customer orders and ensure timely fulfilment in line with demand * Produce transport and delivery documentation for dispatch * Maintain accurate tracking systems and update relevant sales and planning records * Liaise with internal teams and external partners to coordinate operational requirements * Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives across the planning function Skills & Experience * Strong organisational and time management skills * Experience in stock control, including FIFO and date-sensitive products * Good level of numeracy and attention to detail * Confident communication skills, both written and verbal * Strong administrative and data handling capability * Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Business Central or similar) is advantageous * Background in food manufacturing or short shelf-life products is beneficial Personal Attributes * Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities * Detail-focused with a high level of accuracy * Team player with a collaborative approach * Problem-solver with a flexible mindset
