Senior Field Service Team Lead Location: UK-based with national & international travel Salary: Competitive + benefits We are seeking a Senior Field Service Team Lead to head up a Field Service team delivering engineering support and maintenance across the full product lifecycle at customer sites. This role ensures installation, testing, and service activities meet all regulatory and contractual requirements. The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Field Service Team Lead will: Lead a team of engineers in installation, commissioning, and ongoing support at customer locations Plan, prioritise, and execute field service activities efficiently and safely Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards Mentor and manage the Field Service Team to maximise effectivenessKey Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in planning engineering support activities, including assembly and testing of equipment and cabling Lead the team in installation and commissioning of project equipment according to project plans Conduct hands-on installation and "setting to work" activities Maintain and support routine maintenance cycles, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards Support obsolescence management and lifecycle maintenance activities Apply first-line leadership skills to manage, motivate, and develop the Field Service TeamWhat We're Looking For Experience with electrical/electronic systems, ideally in maritime or defence environments Proven ability to lead and manage a field-based engineering team Willingness and ability to travel extensively in the UK and internationally at short notice Experience with safety and regulatory standards, including risk assessment and mitigation Ability to produce and maintain project and technical documentation Experience supporting sea or land trials and maintaining equipment Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Knowledge of acoustics and computer networks (desirable) Ability to work in confined spaces where requiredQualifications, Skills & Requirements Engineering qualification (minimum HND or equivalent) Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC or DV) Sole UK nationality required Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally Good computer literacyWorking Hours Full-time, permanent position Flexible working with core hours: 09:30 - 12:00 & 14:00 - 16:00 Additional flexibility depending on project and travel requirementsWhat's On Offer Competitive salary with paid overtime or time off in lieu (up to 24 extra days leave) Flexible working environment Pension scheme with employer contribution Private medical care with nationwide coverage Holiday shutdown over Christmas Training, development, and career progression opportunities Salary sacrifice schemes (Cycle to Work, tech) Gym discounts and access to onsite facilities Company-provided equipment for office and home working Relocation support availableReady to Apply?
