Document Controller – Precision Engineering Location: Stockport (full time on site – no remote working option) Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 + benefits Industry: Precision Engineering – Oil & Gas & Chemical Process Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring the highest standards in documentation and quality control? We're currently working with a leading precision engineering company that supplies critical products to the oil & gas and chemical process industries. They are looking for a skilled Document Controller to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, experience in document management, and a solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS). Key Responsibilities: * Manage and maintain product documentation (doc packs) to ensure all records are complete, accurate, and up to date. * Collaborate with various departments to gather and validate necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. * Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure all relevant documentation aligns with quality procedures. * Support in audits, inspections, and document reviews, ensuring all products are fully traceable and meet client specifications. * Assist in the development and improvement of document control processes and systems. * Ensure that product documentation is correctly logged, indexed, and retrievable at all times. Requirements: * Previous experience in a document control role, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment. * Strong understanding of QMS and its application in a precision engineering setting. * Familiarity with ISO standards and industry-specific regulations. * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. * Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients. Desirable: * Experience in the oil & gas or chemical process industries. * Proficiency in document control software or systems.
