Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services

Electrical Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) 📍 Newmarket | Design Consultancy We are a growing design consultancy based in Newmarket, seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with 5–7+ years’ experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The Role You will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical systems across a range of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Key Responsibilities * Design electrical systems for commercial, residential, and/or industrial projects * Produce detailed calculations, specifications, and drawings * Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineers * Attend site visits and support project delivery * Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations About You * Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field * 5–7+ years’ relevant experience in a consultancy or similar environment * Strong knowledge of UK regulations and standards (e.g. BS 7671) * Proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux or similar) * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * Working towards or already chartered (desirable but not essential) What We Offer * Competitive salary (dependent on experience) * Opportunity to work on diverse and interesting projects * Support for professional development and chartership * Friendly, collaborative team environment
