Senior Development Chemist

Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior Development Chemist to join a Chemicals Manufacturing company at their site based in Greater Manchester on a full time, permanent basis, for a salary range of £45,000 - 60,000 per annum. The Company: An internationally recognised UK manufacturer of specialist industrial lubricants, known for its strong focus on innovation and formulation science. With integrated R&D and manufacturing facilities, the business develops tailored solutions for complex engineering applications, supplying customers worldwide via an established global network.  Location: Greater Manchester Your main duties will be: Formulate and develop new blended products, work to improve existing products and work to approve new raw materials Create customer-facing (TDS etc) and internal documentation (QC specification etc) and SAP records for new products Prepare technical reports and presentations as required Liaise with Quality Control re problems with samples, batch monitoring and creation of QC specification for new products, including Safety Data Sheets Work with Production on the manufacture of new products and assist with other products as required Work with other departments such as Commercial and Marketing as requiredYour Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience: Chemistry degree (or above) desirable Be comfortable in a laboratory environment Have good motivation and organization skills Industrial lab experience Familiarity with product development methodologies – research, sample preparation, testing, review desirableEntitlement to work in the UK is essential.
